The Friends of the Museum volunteer group began in 1994. These energetic volunteers assist with events, programs, research, promotions, and special projects. Their main fund raising activities include the Festival of Wreaths, the Chili Lunch, and the Coffee Party.
They have sponsored art exhibitions and special events, exhibit renovations and the Humboldt Telegraph newsletter publication. The Friends of the Museum have generously funded the publication of the 100 Interesting Stories About Humboldt book.
Volunteers are our community’s greatest resource and their achievements shine proudly throughout our civic museum. Thanks to all our great volunteers who support and build our community pride. This year, 2014, marks the 20th anniversary of the Friends of the Museum. Throughout the past 20 years, their help has been invaluable to the HDMG and we look forward to working with this group into the future. Congratulations on your significant milestone!
