Stokes Harness Shop
In 1910, George Stokes moved his harness shop out of the present Modern Meat building. That space had become too small to accommodate his increasing business. Later that year, he constructed this building as the new location for his harness shop. Stokes stayed in this location until 1927 when he moved his business across the street. Stokes Harness Shop was a fixture of Main Street for 50 years.

The Humboldt Café
In 1931, the Humboldt Café opened in this location, managed by Dick Kannin. In 1940, the Humboldt Café became the Princess Café and moved next door to where Trans Café is currently located.

Humboldt Paint and Glass
In 1942 the Humboldt Paint and Glass business moved into this building. Henry Bush had started this business in the mid-1930s in a building north of the Windsor Hotel. Fred Kralkay became a partner in the business in the mid 1940s and purchased the company in 1959. The business was located in this building until 1975.

Humboldt Co-op
In 1975, the Humboldt Co-op Association purchased the Humboldt Paint and Glass building and stock. The new premises were bought to expand the crowded dry goods department. The Humboldt Co-op used this building for five years.

Wheatland Bakery
In 1980, Ed Kosik opened a new business - the Wheatland Bakery. The bakery produced a variety of products including doughnuts, pastry, buns and breads. In 1993, Kosik sold the business to Frank and Cathy Eufemia who operated the bakery until the late 1990s.

Munchkin Clothing
Munchkin Clothing occupied this building from 2003 - 2006, selling new children's clothes as well as consignment clothing.

Between the Pages
The building became home to a retail book store, Between the Pages in the fall of 2006. The store sells new and used books as well as children's clothes on consignment.
