Stiegler's Department Store
The construction of the building began in May 1906. In August 1906, J. J. Stiegler opened "The People's Store" and invited the public to look through his entire stock of dry goods, clothing, hats, caps, boots, shoes, crockery, glassware and groceries.
King George, Paris and a Cameo
In 1923, the first floor of the building was renovated to accommodate a café and the second floor was converted into apartments. The initial name of the coffee shop was the King George Café, but this was changed to the Paris Café.
The Paris Café, primarily managed by Charlie Young, was operated from this building until the early 1940s. The business was renamed the Cameo Café for a few years.
Plumbing and a Parlour
In 1944, Al Stephens purchased the building as an office for his electrical and plumbing business, and the rest of the space was used by his wife Ida Stephen's for the Rose Beauty Parlour. The building was remodeled in 1950 and in 1961, the Kwik Wash was incorporated into the business.
Center Stage Music
Greg Bay purchased the building in 2005 for his business, Center Stage Music.
